Raven's poem : merely surviving

I used to think that i was made to die alone.
That I would wonder through life and die with nobody to miss me.
I used to think that i could survive on my own,
I didn't need a man to tell me what to do.
I used to think that i could live on my own,
Awaken everyday and be proud of what i had built within a team.
I used to think that i could do it alone,
Build a life, be part of a team.
I used to think that i could do it alone,
Help protect millions and not be lonely.
I used to think that i could  live on my own,
But i managed to be be lonely surrounded by friends.

That was until i loved Beast Boy...

I used to think that i could live on my own,
Turns out that it wasn't living, merely surviving.
